WHO WE ARE
The Lincoln County Children's Advocacy Center was founded in 1997 to offer child abuse intervention and assessment services in a safe, neutral and supportive environment, for children who are suspected of being abused or neglected.
On-site services include: video taped forensic interviews, conducted by a Forensic Interviewer trained in Oregon Interviewing Guidelines, medical assessments conducted by a specially trained Medical Provider, Child/family advocacy and counseling. Off-site services include: Victim Advocacy for the Child/Family while going through the criminal justice system, outreach and Darkness to Light community trainings.
The Children's Advocacy Center works regularly with Law Enforcement, Child Welfare and other agencies through an interagency team approach to suspected child abuse cases. Our goal is to help reduce trauma for the child, support the family, and improve outcomes.
We welcome volunteers who share our commitment to helping support child abuse victims and their families. To learn more about the different ways to volunteer contact us. A helping hand is always greatly appreciated!
