SPECIAL EVENTS

As a non-profit charitable organization, the Children's Advocacy Center supplements individual donations and grant funds necessary to sustain its services with three major fund raising events annually.  These are the "Celebrate the Children" dinner dance event held typically the beginning of February, Golf Fore the Kids held in early summer and Endless Summer Party held late August.  Tickets for these fun and rewarding events may be purchased here.

 

In 2012, a new event will be held in the August.......watch this site for more information.

"Celebrate the Children" Dinner, Dancing, and Auction - February 4,2012

(Formerly the Children's Center Charity Ball)


 

This great fun event featured top entertainment, an abundant variety of foods prepared by local chefs, wine at each table, open bar, both a silent and live auction and dancing until you drop.  It is well attended and tickets go quickly.  The 2012 Celebrate the Children event will held on Saturday, February 4, 2012, 6-11pm, at the Best Western Agate Beach Hotel in Newport, featuring the repeat great performance by Portland's Swingline Cubs band.   TICKET PRICE $85/person.  TABLES of 10 $850.00

GOLF FORE THE KIDS  was held July 30, 2011

 

The  "Golf Fore the Kids" tournament was held at the Olalla Valley Golf course on Saturday, July 30, 2011.  This 9 hole scramble, shot-gun start, with 4 member teams included BBQ lunch and raffle following the tournament.  This major fundraiser supports direct services provided at the Center.  There were two Hole in One contests - which nobody won!   Other contests included Putting , Closest to Pin (KP), Long Drives.

Family Fun Day -FREE EVENT

 The Family Fun day was held  April 9, 2011         

 

Each April the Children’s Advocacy Center invites the community to join in the fun at our annual Family Fun Day at the Center.  This event is free of charge and provides an opportunity for individuals to view the facility while participating in child-friendly activities in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month.  This year activities included miniature pony carosel rides, Eddyville Drummers, Depoe Bay fire rig, Newport police car K9 unit, and a prize walk, among many other craft booths.   This year attendance numbered 243!

Bicycles & and an electic car were raffled (free) and new bike helmets provided and fitted for attendees.
